Hmmm, sounds like a service pack.

“Most users won’t see an huge difference in the feel and look of the OS, but they should notice a difference in speed.”

“Most of the upgrades are “under the hood” and don’t come with a lot of the bells and whistles that we saw with the release of 10.5.”

At least with Windows you get this for free.
