I took some video with one of the new Nanos and a 3G S, I took the exact same video with each to compare. I think the video quality is pretty close in comparison, with the 3G S the color quality is better but the frame rate looks the same and image quality is pretty close, but you can be the judge. Also remember when videos are loaded onto youtube the quality does diminish a little. I enlarged these to full size on my macbook and they were both very watchable, now you can film your little cousins violin recital and your grandmas 90th birthday.

I picked up a new ipod nano today and have been playing with it for a couple hours now and decided to do a little review on it. The size is exactly the same, the screen is a little bigger, and the track pad is smaller. The video camera is of course the biggest new feature of it, I took a few sample videos and will put them into the post as soon as they are loaded onto youtube. The video quality is pretty good, I was very impressed with it for what the device is. It is much better than the 3G recording, and is pretty comparable to the 3G S. Other notable features are the ability to record sound notes and play music without headphones through the external speaker. The FM radio that is built in works very well and picks up great reception. Other than that i'll just let the pictures and the videos do the rest of the talking. I went to go check on a Time Capsule price for a friend and discovered it was down as you can see by the picture above.  This can only mean one thing, the rumors of new products coming out today is true, what will they be?  We are not 100% sure yet but its a pretty good guess there will be a refresh of all the ipod lines, rumor has it they will include cameras if you haven't heard.  Other speculations are itunes 9, blu-ray support, and the apple touchscreen tablet or as I like to call it a giant worthless ipod touch, and the appearance of Steve Jobs?  We will let you know in a couple hours as soon as the press conference begins.

If you read my complaint you will know why my review is coming out so late, but I am doing it anyways. I rushed home from school as quick as I could when my wife told me the leopard was in our apartment, and quickly began the install. Installation time took a little under an hour, which isnt too bad. I updated both my computers and had no trouble or hickups during it. I heard that 10.6 has a smaller footprint and it sure does, on my macbook pro it freed up a wopping 16 GB, and I kid you not. I had 106 BG available and I checked it right after the install was complete and it said 122 GB available pretty amazing. On my iMac it freed up about 6.5 GB, which is close to the average they said it would be. I am not sure why there was such a difference, but I am very happy about it. AT&T announced that they are finally getting the MMS support to the iPhone on September 25th, I guess AT&T's idea of late summer is really late, unless they are using a different calender system where September is still summer. The reason for the stated delay is that they are expecting record numbers of MMS being send and had to beef up their network to handle it, who knows? In a few more week iPhone owners will receive the update through software update in itunes and now will have something new to complain about, MMS is slow or not working sometimes.
