Whether your anxious, angry, or just plain don't care, the digital TV switch is going to affect everyone in the country. The original plan was to shut off all the analog TV signals February 17, 2009, but fear that not everyone has bought their converter boxes, or an upgraded TV has prompted a delay. The government delaying something? Yes, I know that is surprising. The House voted yesterday 264-158 to put the delay into action, stating that over 6 million people are not ready for the switch, the target date is now June 12, 2009. The delay is not stopping all stations from switching to digital, if you are from Utah (were we are based out of) the switch will happen on the 17th so be prepared, to have that analog a distant memory of the past, there are about 500 cities across the US that are making the switch on the 17th, there is no specific list of all the cities so check your local stations to find out when they are making the switch.
