Christmas is but a few days away, most of us are done with school, and hopefully many of us don't have to work much this next week, and of course we have been Christmas shopping and are all done, and have the presents wrapped and under the tree...no you say more shopping left? Well here is my gift guide for christmas or any other December holiday you celebrate because lets face it, Hanukah, and Kwanzaa should get in on the tech gifts too. Feel free to add any gifts you feel should be on the list, these are just my top choices. 1. Play Station 3 - I have been completely enamored with this machine. It plays blu-rays,(it is one of the more top quality blu-ray players on the market as well) you can stream avi wmv divx and other movie files from your computer to the your TV or you can just copy them to the 120 or 250 GB hard drive in it, along with that you can stream music or put it on your hard drive, you can also stream netflix movies through it, oh and you can play video games on it. ...

I took some video with one of the new Nanos and a 3G S, I took the exact same video with each to compare. I think the video quality is pretty close in comparison, with the 3G S the color quality is better but the frame rate looks the same and image quality is pretty close, but you can be the judge. Also remember when videos are loaded onto youtube the quality does diminish a little. I enlarged these to full size on my macbook and they were both very watchable, now you can film your little cousins violin recital and your grandmas 90th birthday.

I picked up a new ipod nano today and have been playing with it for a couple hours now and decided to do a little review on it. The size is exactly the same, the screen is a little bigger, and the track pad is smaller. The video camera is of course the biggest new feature of it, I took a few sample videos and will put them into the post as soon as they are loaded onto youtube. The video quality is pretty good, I was very impressed with it for what the device is. It is much better than the 3G recording, and is pretty comparable to the 3G S. Other notable features are the ability to record sound notes and play music without headphones through the external speaker. The FM radio that is built in works very well and picks up great reception. Other than that i'll just let the pictures and the videos do the rest of the talking. This January it was reported that Microsoft's Zunes division lost 100 million dollars, and even to Microsoft thats no chump change they can afford loosing. I was thinking about this because I recently acquired one of the 1st generation Zunes. Now I did not pay for this of course, I would never drop any money on a Microsoft product like that, I got it for free so I was pretty happy about it and more than willing to take. Playing with it I don't really understand what made people want to buy them, they are clunky, the interface is no where as near as good as the iPod (and I don't say that because I am bias toward macs, if you use both its pretty hard to argue that Zune's UI is better).
