This morning apple made the official announcement about the new software that will be coming out for the iphone this summer. Some are calling 3.0 an innovation but I don't really think it is that much of an innovation, they are only adding things that pretty much every other cellphone in the world already has. The notable ones are, cut, copy and paste, which is suppose to be done with ease, MMS messages but only for the 3G. Maps can now be integrated into an application. Things can be purchased within an app now, like The Sims for example. You could purchase clothes, or items or anything else that is usually bought in The Sims. The two that are most exciting for me are landscape mode in e-mail and the ability to type in landscape mode while texting, hooray! That should be of help for all those who feel it a little fumbley when typing texts in that tiny keyboard. Looks like Steve Jobs has been busy. Apple will be unveiling the iPhone operating system March 17. No specific date on when it will actually be released to the masses.

Yes you read that correctly, the kindle is now on the iPhone, well as an app at least Amazon released the official Kindle app yesterday.  For all of you who have an iphone and either can't afford the Kindle 2  because you spent all your money on an iphone, or just don't want to shell out the $300.00 it costs.  The app is free and you will have access to all Kindle books, and materials.  The downside is you cannot download directly from the app, you will have to go on line to get your books, magazines, and newspapers. After downloading I signed in to the app with my Amazon account, it has very simple and easy to menus, and easy search methods if you have a lot of books.  It gave me instructions how to download content, which can be done through the iPhone browser, or on you PC or Mac browser.  I jumped over to Amazon and quickly downloaded a free copy of Treasure Island.  While it is a little of a pain to have to download it through your browser, when ever you open the Kindle app it automatically looks for any newly downloaded content so that is a very ...

  The SGP ultra thin case for the iPhone 3G is probably the sleekest case you can buy for your iPhone.  The case is 1/29 of an inch so it does not add any bulk to the phone, in fact you can hardly tell it is even on the phone.   The case I am using is the UV clear one.  I have had no problems with the case coming off, and it fits on perfectly and does not block any ports on the phone, you can even put it on a dock, or your music dock without taking off the case.  I will start out with my cons of the case.  The case comes in a variety of colors and each one has a hole in the back so you can see the apple logo, the problem is it is very off center.  You can see the apple logo fine but, it bothers me every time I look at but I am somewhat of a perfectionist in some areas, plus this seems like such an easy fix or have your designers do some better measurements, also the camera hole is off center; it doesn't block the camera at all but again it bothers me ...

Yes, you read that correct, but hold on to your butts not quite yet. Adobe's CEO Shantanu Narayen confirmed at a recent conference that they are collaborating with Apple to create a version of Flash for the iPhone. That sounds pretty sure to me, the only problem is we still don't know how much longer iPhone users will have to wait. Those of us that use iPhones have been waiting quite a long time for this and it has been one of our few complaints. Steve Jobs main concern was that Flash would run to slow on the iPhone but now that they are working together on this project it can finally come to pass, other mobile devices have functional versions of flash on them so we know it is possible for it to run on an iPhone. We do know it is Apple policy to update the iPhone every year around June or July so I imagine it will come out with the updated iPhone, but the question is will it be released for the older models?
