blackberry_app_world498x2811The RIM corporation, or makers of blackberry, announced that on April 1st they will officially release AppWorld, their version of Apples AppStore.  They come second to compete with Apple, Google being the first.  From what I understand AppWorld will be available to all blackberry phones not just the Storm.  I guess we will have to wait and see how they fair.  RIM still sells more phones than Apple but Apple does have the lead in the market for their app store and it will be hard to compete with, they will have to do a better job than Google has done so far.  Rumor has it that the average price of an app will be $2.99, along with many other free apps.
