I just got home after a devastating and defeating loss in our schools Pre-dental society elections (heavy sarcasm), I don’t want to bad mouth my opponent but I was kind of frustrated I didn’t win. I know, everyone who looses an election is frustrated because “they were the better choice”, but in my defense I really think I was. We were both running for historian, I am sure she is a nice person and will do an ok job, but in her speech she said her strong point is taking pictures! That is what she won on, oh and she is organized. I know historians are suppose to take pictures of events, but I offered my services to maintain the groups website, you know get more technology involved, as well as my other many talents I have, we all know I can write and document what is going on, plus I am just such an awesome guy. So I learned that people are not swayed by promises of implementing technology, what a sad sad world we live in. Congrats to all those who won this year, even though none of you will probably be reading this. And don’t you fear people, when I finish dental school I will use as much geekyness and technology in my work as I can, because I am sure many of you spent sleepless nights wondering why your dentist doesn’t have wifi, or binary code wallpaper in his (or her, since I lost to a girl) office.
