Recently both Firefox and my Safari browsers were feeling a little sluggish and running a little slow, needless to say it was frustrating me, so I found a little trick to clean them up and speed them up a little. First I must say, I have left Internet Explorer off this list on purpose not only because I run a mac but it is a terrible browser; if you are still using it you need to stop today and get Firefox or Safari, they are available for PC and Mac.
If you are in Firefox go to the menu bar at top and select Tools then go down and select clear private data. Check the boxes for cache and cookies, you may also select the history box if you want that cleared then select clear private data now.
For Safari click on safari in the top menu, then click empty cache, after the alert pops up select empty. Now click on safari again, and select preferences, select bookmarks (security if you are running Safari 4) select show cookies, then you can either click on remove all or select individual ones you would like removed, I would just choose to remove all.
How does this speed up ...
