I took some video with one of the new Nanos and a 3G S, I took the exact same video with each to compare. I think the video quality is pretty close in comparison, with the 3G S the color quality is better but the frame rate looks the same and image quality is pretty close, but you can be the judge. Also remember when videos are loaded onto youtube the quality does diminish a little. I enlarged these to full size on my macbook and they were both very watchable, now you can film your little cousins violin recital and your grandmas 90th birthday.

If you are a Gmail, or GoogleCal user you may have noticed they finally took off the beta tag that has been on there for about a million years now, who knew they would ever take that off?  This new change led me to think of a few things, first I wonder if there will be some exciting new changes coming to Gmail or they only took it off since millions of people and over 1.5 million businesses use Gmail and GoogleCal they thought it is finally the finished product.  But for some reason the main thing it made me think about is two of the little known Google services I use almost everyday that I thought every person in the world knew about, and that is Goog411.  I still talk to people all the time who say they have never heard of this, so here is a run down.  I don't know many people who like paying 75 cents to call 411 to get a number, so next time you are in a jam just call 1800-GOOG-411 (466-4411) it is totally free and has maybe one or twice not been able to find the number or business I was ...

I always hear people saying that technology segregates people from one another, that cell phones and texting make people communicate face to face less, but I think it is just the opposite, I think it helps bring people together.  The other day while at one of my customers house we started talking about her Blackberry Storm and we had a fun conversation, it was a good conversation piece that I felt created a good aquentence, I also thought of a few weeks back when a man was asking me for iPhone tips and we started swapping app ideas.  I constantly have people asking me to show them the new 3.0 software or fun features on the iPhone.  So next time someone says that technology is cold, inhuman, and makes people grow farther apart now you can tell them how it brings people together and creates nano friendships.
